Im pretty spectical about all these beauty hacks going around on right now, some of them seem prettyyyy weird. I’m absolutely nottt going to put mayonnaise and eggs in my hair. But, on the other hand, what if some of these crazy beauty hacks actually work? So I decided to try a few of them, and share the ones I liked the most, with you guys!! Lets get started!
{Adding volume to your lashes} Everytime you try to add volume to your lashes by adding extra coats, you get nasty, clumpy, spider lashes. So instead, try adding a coat of baby powder to your lashes before applying mascara! Currently I have eyelash extensions, but before I had them, I used this trick alotttt. It works wonders!
{Use a sponge when applying glitter polish} A lot of times when using glittery polishes, the glitter seems to come on veryyy thin, and not as spectacular as you wanted. So instead of just using the brush, try using disposable makeup sponges! Paint the glitter polish onto the sponge and the pat gently on to your nail! This trick is amazing. It makes your glitter polish look 1000x better.
{Vasaline/Coconut oil tricks} Vaseline can be used for soooo many things, and over the last couple weeks of trying some of these hacks, I think this one was my favorite! So, try using Vaseline for some of the following things, and see how you like them! Makeup remover, (amazinggg) lip balm, massage into ankles, elbows, heels, or knees for a ton of extra moisture. Coconut oil can be used for many of the same things as Vaseline but using coconut oil in place of shaving cream in the shower is amazing. Now obviously, be careful because coconut oil can be slippery! Coconut oil is really good for sensitive skin, I have psoriasis, and this is what I use to shave with. Its insanely soft, and your skin looks amazing after the first couple of uses!
{Blowdrying your eyelash curler} This one sounds alittleeee weird at first. But take your eyelash curler, and run it under your blowdryer for about 15-20 seconds, and use to curl your lashes! Its makes the curl last hours longer than normal!
{Peppermint oil} There are a lot of plumping lipglosses out right now, and they’re amazing! But not everyone wants to spend $30 and up for a small tube of gloss. I’ve been looking into a lot of different essential oils right now, and one of my favorite uses so far, it to pick my favorite lipgloss, and add in a few drops of peppermint oil! It smells amazing, and give your lips a little plump!
If you try any of these hacks, I would love to know how they work for you! don't forget to check out and follow our instagram (@jonesandjewels)!!
